Yohan, please be alive

Dearest Yohan,

You have been missing 13 days now. We are all worried about you and hope that you are alive, or at least in 3 or less pieces with all vital organs in place. We have been wondering for reasons for your disappearance, and they are, in order of likelyhood, these:

1. Your router doesn't work or your ISP is having problems. You were having problems with your router, and probably either bought a new one or the old one died completely. Perhaps you cannot get the new router working, or perhaps the ISP has messed something up and you are at position 91906 in their support queue.
2. You were caught in the recent storm http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8355294.stm that ravaged Sao Paolo. Perhaps your area suffered major damage to the electricity infrastructure and you are still without internet. Perhaps a gang of rioteers broke into your flat and broke everything (I hope not you though). Evil 3rd world country and slow damage control.
3. You were working in the laboratory at university and had an accident. You either got some acid vapour on your face and had to be taken into hospital where you are lying unconscious, or you caused a breakout from the laboratory. For all we know, Brazil might now be fighting a desperate struggle against invading zombies which you released in the laboratory accident.
4. A team of highly trained monkeys has captured you. Monkeys, please let Yohan go.
5. You have died of a heart attack. Tell us, is afterlife in a) 2D? b) 3D? c) non-euclidean?

I hope you did not catch a sudden case of depression or anything along those lines. We already lost Bob for that, and it seems that depression is growing more and more common among the lone hikkikomoris. The response to your home being without internet could be using the internet at the university, but I don't know why you wouldn't contact us from there. Maybe your university has no internet, or they are blocking IRC for no good reason. We did try to dig up your information some months ago during operation Marshall Aid, but we didn't find much. We could try again, but you don't like stalkers and I doubt we would find anything of use. I don't think we have your email. You haven't signed in to Steam nor Hamachi. If you are gone long enough, we will post a thread on Something Awful LP section. Or post your picture on milk bottles.

Here life is going as expected. Ranting has been working during weekends, spent the last weekend at a wedding (crazy Indian weddings with hundreds of people for multiple days) and is now home alone as his mother is away. He is not eating pizza every day. Blueskirt has been playing Isaac, an indie game with procedural Zelda type dungeons and a lot of achievements, Dritz, Danny and I have been playing Skyrim, Aman is this close (..) to finishing his degree and is now looking for a new job I think, Seth is working at an oil rig for like 12 hours a day and Caity is shooting our weebees even where there aren't any. Evil Caity. I passed a super hard exam and am now doing a algorithm analysis, a branch of pure mathematics. It kind of sucks.

Dear Gekko,
You didn't miss much while you were away in Scotland, we haven't broke the 1 million line barrier, we missed Ranting's Birthday (BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RANTI!), the biggest news of the week-end was that Prodian failed to do something very stupid so we're glad he failed at it. He also found the best smiley ever:

I sent an email to Sai, she and mercen and mochi are doing fine but right now they don't have internet. Mochi is now big, he got castrated, and he's been practicing parkour. He also apparently love to sleep in his cat cage. Sai says she misses us and wish she was here with us.

Away for the weekend

Dear little Rantikun,

I am sorry I won't be here this week-end, I wanted to have all those big important convos with you but unfortunately RL bit me in the butt this week and I got to bring my comp to my cousin to get it formatted, which should take the whole week-end probably. Don't worry, we'll get our revenge one of these days!

PS - And don't forget what the doctor said: you stay in bed, with lot of soup, hot chocolate and watch The Big Lebowski all week-end long, and none of your pesky RL friends to interrupt your treatment, unless if they want to drink soup and hot chocolate and watch The Big Lebowski too.

We miss you, I hope everything is going fine in lazy land. Here's all the cool, funny and sad news you missed while you were away.

Sai got a message from that juice bar asking her if she was still looking for her dream job, she mastered cupcakes after only 3 attempts at cooking them, and her cat is already chasing skirts. They put an old hula skirt on the floor and the cat went nuts over it. You can see pictures of her kitty here:

On tech news, Aman got a 24 inches monitor, Dritz got a laptop and Gekko is having lot of trouble installing Windows 7 on his machine.

Ranting has been rather glum and easy to make angry recently, I hope life will get better for him soon. He also wanted to ask you if you knew Andre Akkari.

Sorry for the late blog update, Gekko!

Did you have a fun holiday? Did Santa visit your little geckos? Then again, they've been so naughty, surely he'd have given them lumps of coal for present.

Not much happened while you were away. Dritz got drunk. Bob got drunk too since I know from experience that it's only when a guy is drunk that he posts things like that:

"Tell him Christmas happened and that we all think he's an awesome guy and that Bobs isn't having girl trouble but might be able to get a girl soon and that he was the most awesome Finn to go to Finland with blueskirt."

He even got your name wrong.

Ranting had many lucky streaks at poker during the holidays and a couple of pigeons installed themselves where the squirrels used to live. He hopes you didn't leave your geckos out to freeze, and gave them their own stockings to be filled with gifts this Christmas.

Yohan spent most of his days being glum because of xmas, reading some strange strategy after report or something, I didn't understand most of that, and has been chatting with Gobbler most of the time you were gone. He told me to give you that link, you may like it.

Sai, Mercen, Chaos and MonkeyLove dropped by. Sai had like, kabillion xmas presents, like a mirror rubic cube, a domo kun action figure, chocolates, Super Mario chess set, a shirt with Mario that says 'i scored in the eighties', that are too numerous to list here... oh, I just did.

Destroyer has been super obsessed with that Homestuck comic and Latty visited tons of relatives.

Over here I've been busy playing QFG, shoveling snow, not writing the blog, watching cartoon movies, eating turkey and feeling mysteriously drowsy like everydays.

Apparently nobody is interested in the Steam holiday sale, because you pirated all the games you should have bought, probably. Anyway, my list of games you should buy is:
Aquaria, Braid, Blueberry Garden, World of Goo, Osmos, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Time Gentlemen Please and that's it. And maybe Eufloria if you like it. And maybe Machinarium.
